Summary: The Power Automate Engineer role involves joining a digital solutions team to enhance the delivery of automation projects using Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Dataverse. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy Power Automate flows (cloud flows and ideally, desktop flows).
- Configure, extend, and manage Microsoft Dataverse entities, relationships, and data models.
- Work with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
- Review and improve existing workflows to improve performance and reliability.
- Handle a backlog of small-to-medium automation projects, ensuring consistent and timely delivery.
- Integrate Power Automate solutions with other Office 365 and external systems.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and best practices across the Power Platform environment.
- Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and user training where required.
Key Skills:
- Proven hands-on experience with Power Automate (cloud flows).
- Strong understanding of Dataverse (tables, relationships, security roles, business rules).
- Solid understanding of Power Platform connectors, triggers, actions, and solution packaging.
- Experience building integrations across SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 apps.
- Ability to work independently and manage a backlog of tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to improve poorly performing flows.
- Experience with Power Apps (model-driven or canvas) is desirable.
- Exposure to Power Automate Desktop (RPA) is desirable.
- Understanding of Power Platform governance, DLP policies, and ALM is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of Azure components (Logic Apps, Functions) is desirable.
