Summary: We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Specialist for a 6-month remote contract role. The position involves managing technical escalations, collaborating with DBA teams, and ensuring optimal database performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PostgreSQL and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer and internal technical escalations
- Work alongside DBA teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL environments
- Provide expert consultation to application teams on database architecture and performance
- Lead efforts around system tuning, replication, and high availability
- Contribute to strategic planning for PostgreSQL infrastructure and improvements
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience managing and optimizing PostgreSQL in live, high-demand environments
- Deep knowledge of RDBMS internals, high availability setups, and recovery strategies
- Ability to clearly communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and calmness under pressure
