Summary: The PMO Manager will lead the Program Management Office for an SAP S/4HANA implementation program, ensuring governance and best practices across all workstreams. This role requires overseeing program planning, execution, and performance monitoring while maintaining JIRA tracking for project transparency. The position is remote with occasional travel within Europe and is set to start as soon as possible. Candidates must have significant experience in program management and be located in Europe with an EU/UK passport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Program Management Office (PMO) for the enterprise technology transformation program.
  • Oversee end-to-end program planning and execution, including scope, timelines, and quality of deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on program performance and schedule adherence.
  • Prepare and manage program governance forums, including Risk Review meetings and Steering Committee preparation.
  • Ensure JIRA tracking and hygiene, maintaining accurate status and progress reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in program or project management.
  • At least 5 years in a PMO leadership role within large-scale technology transformation programs.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs in a global organization.
  • Strong expertise in program governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
  • SAP project/programme experience is essential.
  • Experience managing projects in collaboration with major system integrators.

Detailed Description From Employer:

*** PMO Manager - 10 months + ext. - Remote *** On behalf of one of our key partners RED now has a new opportunity for a PMO Manager to join an ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation programme. The initial contract will be until 30/09-2026 with multi year extensions planned. This contract is to start ASAP and will be almost 100% remote with occasional travel within Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Program Management Office (PMO) for the enterprise technology transformation program, ensuring governance, standards, and best practices are consistently applied across all workstreams.
  • Oversee end-to-end program planning and execution, including scope, timelines, and quality of deliverables and monitor and report on program performance and schedule adherence.
  • Prepare and manage program governance forums, including weekly Risk Review meetings, Quality Gates Meetings (QG), Decision Review Board (DRB) sessions, Commercial Contract Change Control Board (CCCB), and Steering Committee preparation
  • Ensure JIRA tracking and hygiene (including oversight of the Supplier Team’s working in JIRA), maintaining accurate status, dependencies, and progress reporting to enable transparency and proactive project management.

Skills/experience required - all are MUST HAVES:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in program or project management, with at least 5 years in a PMO leadership role within large-scale technology transformation programs.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong expertise in program governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement at executive levels.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet) and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • SAP project/programme experience is essential.
  • Experience managing project in collaboration with big system integrators (Infosys, Accenture, CapGemini, EY, KPMG, etc.)
  • Able to join early January or before.
  • Candidates HAS to be located in Europe and have an EU/UK passport.
