Summary: The PLM Functional Tester (BA / QA) role involves supporting enterprise PLM initiatives through detailed analysis and testing of business and functional requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Design, develop, and execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support PLM-related business processes, including configuration management and change control activities.
- Identify, document, track, and coordinate resolution of software defects and issues.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Validate business requirements and ensure applications align with operational needs.
- Provide PLM user support and troubleshoot functional issues.
- Document testing activities, test results, and generate status reports.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and testing activities within iterative development cycles.
- Continuously improve QA processes, testing methodologies, and documentation standards.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience as a Functional Tester, QA Analyst, or Business Analyst.
- Extensive experience working on PLM projects.
- Strong experience as a PLM user and Business Analyst.
- Hands-on experience with Configuration Management, Change Control Processes, Writing and testing business requirements, Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and PLM user support.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
- Ability to create clear, concise, and effective test documentation.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
