Summary: In this role, the PLM Engineer III will act as a technical expert in manufacturing information systems infrastructure, focusing on optimizing and maintaining application systems. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure high service levels and provide operational support for manufacturing systems. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to analyze data for decision-making. The role also involves monitoring industry trends to implement innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance, optimization, troubleshooting, upgrades, installation and documentation of infrastructure related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Administration of new and existing technologies, including design, documentation, installation, configuration, maintenance, integration, and testing of related systems.
- Collaborate with business customers on hardware, middleware, and application requirements.
- Ensure the integrity of databases, application software, and data by leading efforts with vendors, engineers, analysts, and leadership.
- Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity, health, and availability of all systems and key processes.
- Lead problem-solving efforts regarding system and service matters, facilitating support with outside personnel, organizations, and/or vendors as necessary.
- Monitor tech-industry trends and bring new ideas and innovative solutions.
- Develop new deliverables based on operational requirements and best practices for documentation and delivery.
- Analyze data to drive decision-making and recommendations.
- Configure and deploy devices and peripherals as necessary.
- Resolve issues, problems, and questions on-site assigned from a ticketing system.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or similar discipline, and/or equivalent related work experience.
- PLM Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in a factory or enterprise setting.
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience with PLM.
- Technical expertise with PLM systems such as CAD, PDM, ERP, PMO.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
- Ability to train and advise users on information technology issues.
- Strong analytical, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Working-level knowledge of the English language.
