Summary: The role of Functional & Technical Workday Developer involves supporting the Workday Platform & Data Governance Team by developing resilient objects for Human Resource management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with HR partners.
  • Design and develop complex integrations within the Workday platform.
  • Provide technical expertise on Workday Studio technologies and troubleshooting.
  • Lead a team of integrators and configurators for Workday HCM modules.
  • Align priorities with product owners and deliver key objectives using Agile methodologies.
  • Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit tests, and conduct code reviews.

Key Skills:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 6 years of experience on HR platforms (Workday).
  • At least 4 years of experience with Workday Integrations or functional configuration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

responsibilities:

We are seeking Workday Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Human Resource.

This Lead will be supporting Workday Platform & Data Governance Team, responsible for the shared architecture across Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Workday Financials (FIN).

You will act as the functional bridge between the HR and Finance organizations, ensuring that system configurations are cohesive and that the Foundation Data Model (FDM) remains aligned across all modules. Furthermore, you will serve as the functional authority on data quality, understanding how data enters the system, how it flows through internal business processes, and how it exits to downstream enterprise systems.

General Responsibilities:

Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business

  • Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
  • Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
  • Design and develop complex integrations within the Workday platform to support candidate and associate experience using web service technologies, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSLT.
  • Provide technical expertise on Workday Studio technologies, security, troubleshooting system issues, data analysis, vendor management and coordination with other HR/Enterprise teams.
  • Lead a team of integrators and configurators to support the Workday HCM modules
  • Work with product owners to align on priorities and deliver on key objectives using Agile methodologies, while maintaining the highest platform and Enterprise standards.
  • Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit tests and conduct code reviews for self and the team, to make sure work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded and effectively tuned for platform performance and quality.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 6 years of experience on HR platforms (Workday)
  • At least 4 years of experience with Workday Integrations or functional configuration related tasks (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Performance Management)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience working with Workday Human Resources modules including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting or Talent and Performance Management, Finance
  • 5+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
  • Experience with building solutions on Workday Extend
  • Workday or Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking or Performance Management)
