Summary: The Platform Engineer role focuses on leveraging strong Python skills for platform engineering, automation, and integrations. The position requires hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and Databricks, along with a solid understanding of AWS services and Infrastructure as Code practices. The engineer will also be responsible for designing self-service platform capabilities and ensuring cloud security compliance while collaborating with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Python for platform engineering, automation, and integrations.
- Develop and support DAGs using Apache Airflow / Astronomer Astro.
- Administer and integrate Databricks, including workspaces, jobs, clusters, notebooks, and Unity Catalog.
- Manage AWS services such as IAM, EKS, S3, Secrets Manager, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for cloud provisioning.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools like Harness and GitOps.
- Design and support self-service platform capabilities and reusable onboarding patterns.
- Ensure cloud security compliance, including IAM roles and policies.
- Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, platform, and application integration layers.
- Collaborate with onshore architects and client or delivery teams.
