Summary: The Platform DevOps Engineer role is a 6-month remote position focused on leveraging cloud technologies and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for technology, initiative, and teamwork, while being proficient in AWS, Cloud Formation or Terraform, and other essential tools. The role requires both technical skills and the ability to work within an agile environment, contributing to strategic decisions. Candidates with more senior experience should also be familiar with Kubernetes and Hashicorp tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage infrastructure using AWS, Cloud Formation or Terraform, and Nginx.
- Perform Linux administration and utilize collaboration tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- Work within an agile context and apply CI practices.
- Articulate logical designs and understand their translation to physical infrastructure.
- Define and work with constraints such as cost, scalability, and availability.
Key Skills:
- Experience with AWS, Cloud Formation or Terraform, Nginx, and Linux administration.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools (Git, Jira, Confluence).
- Ability to be SC Clearable.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Hashicorp tools (Packer, Consul, Vault).
- Experience working in an agile environment.
