Summary: We are seeking an experienced Platform Architect with strong expertise in VMware technologies to design, implement, and manage enterprise virtualization and cloud infrastructure platforms. The ideal candidate will drive architecture, automation, scalability, security, and operational excellence across data center and hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect enterprise virtualization solutions using VMware vSphere and related VMware products.
- Lead infrastructure modernization and hybrid cloud initiatives.
- Build scalable, secure, and highly available platform architectures.
- Manage and optimize VMware environments including compute, storage, networking, and disaster recovery.
- Implement automation and orchestration solutions for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
- Develop infrastructure standards, governance, and best practices.
- Support migration projects including physical-to-virtual and cloud transformations.
- Create architecture documentation, SOPs, and technical roadmaps.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter Server, VMware ESXi, and VMware NSX.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization, private cloud, and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS), backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with VMware vSAN and software-defined data center concepts.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, PowerCLI, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration.
- Understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, load balancing, firewalls, and DNS.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
