Summary: The role of PlanView Developer is a remote position focused on configuring and developing PlanView solutions. The candidate will leverage their extensive experience in project and portfolio management, coding, and integration technologies to enhance project performance and reporting. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this role. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration with vendor support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and develop PlanView solutions.
  • Utilize project and portfolio management principles effectively.
  • Generate reports using PlanView reporting tools and data visualization.
  • Implement integration technologies such as REST APIs and ETL tools.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and relationships.
  • Work in Agile or hybrid project environments.
  • Code extensively and adapt to new technologies and languages.
  • Handle functional modules related to project and portfolio management.
  • Administer Planview PPM and CA PPM settings and configurations.
  • Collaborate with vendor support to address environmental and performance issues.
  • Identify and resolve problems proactively.
  • Utilize GEL Script, REST API, and integrations as needed.

  • Proven experience with PlanView configuration and development.
  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio management principles.
  • Experience with PlanView reporting tools and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with integration technologies (e.g., REST APIs, ETL tools).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
  • At least 5 years of extensive coding experience and ability to pick up new technology and coding languages (XOG, GEL is being used for CA PPM).
  • 2-3 years of experience in functional modules (like Project Management, Portfolio Management, Resource Management, Time Sheet Management, Financial Management, Demand Management and JasperSoft Reports, CA PPM Studio of CA PPM).
  • Understanding of Planview PPM and CA PPM Administration like Time Period Setup, Resource Setup, Project Financials, User Security, Jobs setup and scheduling, Processes, Jaspersoft Report scheduling, Financial setup, new UX.
  • Interact with Vendor Support to resolve issues related to environment, performance etc.
  • Proactively identifies problems, root cause and permanently resolves problems.
  • Added advantage of experience in GEL Script, REST API, Integrations, XOG etc.
