Placement Role - Java Developer with Guidewire Suite Exp - Remote

Summary: The role of Java Developer with Guidewire Suite experience involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the Guidewire Suite platform for an insurance client. The position requires customization of Inow modules, development of integration interfaces, and collaboration with product owners and QA teams. The developer will also participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and document design decisions and processes. This is a remote position with a duration of 12 to 18+ months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement solutions within the Guidewire Suite platform.
• Customize Inow modules to meet business requirements using Java and Inow configuration tools.
• Develop integration interfaces between Inow and third-party systems via APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), and messaging systems.
• Work with product owners and analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT and production releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the application environment.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure proper test coverage and automation.
• Document design decisions, code, and processes as needed.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Good experience in Java development (Java 8 or higher).
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire Suite or InsuranceNow (Inow).
• Strong understanding of Guidewire Inow modules like Policy, Billing, and Claims.
• Experience with HO3, Tired Rating, API integration with Lexis Nexis, akur8, e2value, Ivans, home insurance, renters, etc.
• Experience with web services (REST/SOAP), XML/JSON, and APIs.
• Proficient in relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Guidewire Certification (InsuranceNow or any GW module) is a strong plus.
• Familiar with Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Experience with reporting tools or data integrations.
