PL/SQL Developer

Summary: We are seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions, with a focus on Oracle databases and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in writing complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, and triggers to support business applications. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data quality and integrity. The position is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
• Work with large, complex data sets to optimize queries and improve database performance.
• Support ETL processes, data migration, and integration between multiple systems.
• Perform database tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with application developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security within the database.
• Develop and maintain documentation for database structures and processes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for database development.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 11+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong expertise in writing complex queries, stored procedures, packages, and performance tuning.
• Experience with data modeling, database design, and normalization.
• Proficiency in SQL Loader, Bulk Collect, and Dynamic SQL.
• Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting is a plus.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and integration with PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
