A professional organization is seeking a Physical Security Design Engineer for a remote role This position focuses on creating detailed physical security drawings and documentation for internal security projects, with occasional onsite visits as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain security system drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Develop detailed layouts for access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related physical security systems
- Interpret design notes, redlines, and project requirements to produce accurate technical documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, project leaders, and field teams to support design accuracy and completeness
- Perform quality checks on drawings and update documentation based on site changes and project revisions
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in CAD drafting, security systems design, or low-voltage system design
- Experience with physical security systems, including access control and CCTV
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Ability to read, interpret, and update technical drawings and specifications
Desired Skills:
- Experience with data center security design
- Familiarity with intrusion alarms or fire-related systems
- Exposure to enterprise, healthcare, university, or smaller-shop environments
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes such as NFPA, NEC, or UL 294
- Experience with access control platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House, or Honeywell
- Familiarity with generative AI tools for drafting or workflow support
