Summary: The PHP Developer role is a 3-month contract position focused on supporting a Laravel-based portal that integrates with NetSuite ERP/CRM and AWS services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of features and small projects, from development to delivery.
  • Act as a key point of contact with client and third-party tech teams, managing communications professionally.
  • Work independently in a Kanban-driven environment, balancing new work with reactive bug fixes.
  • Maintain and improve legacy/custom PHP systems, even with limited documentation.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor teammates on technical and client-handling best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Proven PHP Developer with Laravel experience.
  • Strong on-prem Linux experience for web application development and deployment.
  • Solid experience with AWS, especially pulling and integrating data from services.
  • SOAP API integration experience.
  • Experience working in a remote, client-facing role – ideally within an agency or consultancy.
  • Confident communicating with external technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of automated testing practices (PHPUnit).
  • Competence with Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong understanding of MySQL and relational database performance.
  • Familiarity with Kanban-style workflows and balancing new feature and support work.
  • Able to work independently, take ownership, and mentor others.

Requirements/experience:
