Summary: The Pharmaceutical Medical Events Project Manager will oversee the execution of Global Medical Events for a leading pharmaceutical company, focusing on strategic planning and compliance. This role requires coordination of cross-functional teams and management of event logistics, budgets, and contracts. The position is remote but may require travel as needed. It is offered on an initial 12-month contract and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and orchestrate Global Medical Events execution, including Medical Congresses.
  • Coordinate global and local cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Manage logistics, planning, and delivery of medical events.
  • Oversee budget follow-up and contract management, including creating and managing POs.

Key Skills:

  • Experienced project manager with a background in Event Management.
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical Global Medical Congresses, particularly in the US market.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations such as HIPAA and the Sunshine Act.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to apply emerging knowledge and trends.
  • Hands-on experience in both conventional and pharmaceutical industries.

Your new company My client, a global pharmaceutical company with a goal of contributing to healthcare innovation and environmental sustainability. They are focused on improving people's quality of life by preventing, alleviating, and curing diseases. They have a wide pharmaceutical portfolio, specialising in some of the following areas: oncology, neuroscience, and rare diseases. There is an opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Medical Events Project Manager to join their Global Medical, Medical Communications, Capabilities and Education Department on an initial 12-month contract. INSIDE IR35 -PAYE / Umbrella Remote / London - must be able to travel as and when needed. Your new role As the Medical Events Project Manager, you will lead and orchestrate Global Medical Events execution, including Medical Congresses, coordinating global (including US) and local cross-functional teams to transform strategic objectives into successful and compliant execution, while adhering to budgetary guidelines and business ethics. You will be the primary point of contact for all logistics, planning and delivering of medical events as well as budget follow -up and contracts, i.e. creating and managing PO's and managing service contracts etc. What you'll need to succeed - You must be an experienced project manager with wide-ranging experience in Event Management, incorporating both strategic event planning and hands-on event delivery. - You must have experience of Pharmaceutical Global Medical Congresses, ideally with some experience within the US market. - Have the ability to apply emerging knowledge and trends; build strong relationships; contribute to expertise within and beyond the assigned area - Knowledge, understanding, and experience with pharmaceutical regulations such as HIPAA and the Sunshine Act - Demonstrated competencies in supporting/working in high-level organisations. - Previous project management experience - Hands-on working experience, knowledge, and understanding of both the conventional and pharmaceutical industries, as well as business practices that support best-in-class pharmaceutical medical event planning management and execution within the pharmaceutical industry.
