The strongest candidates will not be generic Scrum Masters they should have GMP/pharma manufacturing + MES + SAFe/Agile delivery experience.
Core Role Experience
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or agile delivery lead in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, or a GMP-regulated life-sciences setting.
- Hands-on agile delivery experience, including backlog management, sprint facilitation, impediment resolution, and team-level delivery reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to coach teams through agile adoption and maturity, driving self-organization and continuous improvement.
Manufacturing & Domain Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, manufacturing execution systems, including batch execution, shop-floor workflows, and the interaction between Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Digital/IT.
- Familiarity with GMP requirements, electronic records/data integrity considerations (21 CFR Part 11 / EU Annex 11), and validation or computerized-system implementation practices (GAMP 5, CSV/CSA).
Facilitation & Communication
- Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional sessions across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, IT, and external partners with competing priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences from technical teams to senior leadership.
- Strong conflict-resolution and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and drive alignment.
Tools & Methods
- Proficiency with agile delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or Miro for backlog management, sprint tracking, metrics dashboards, and facilitation.
- Experience building and maintaining delivery dashboards, burn-down charts, and capacity planning views.
Multi-Site / Global Program Experience
- Experience working within multi-site or global programs where coordinating delivery across distributed teams, time zones, and blended internal/external resources is required.
