PERL Developer

Summary: As a Sr Software Engineer specializing in Perl, you will join an Agile team focused on developing healthcare applications and implementing new features while maintaining high coding standards. Your role will involve delivering quality software components, debugging existing systems, and collaborating with various teams to align with business objectives. Familiarity with modern programming languages and production support tools is essential for success in this position. Experience with microservices and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components
• Understand, debug existing systems and propose new, alternative technology in order to make them more scalable and achieve results.
• Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes.
• Work collaboratively across the Technology and Product organizations to ensure alignment towards business goals
• Adhere to DOD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, no regressions, bug fixes, documentation and adhere to best coding practices.
• Participate and contribute to scrum meetings i.e., daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts and retrospectives

Key Skills:

• Familiarity of working in an Agile environment
• Experience in production support and monitoring tools
• Experience of modern programming languages such as: Perl, Java
• Experience of Unix/Linux preferred
• Experience of SQL/ORACLE
• Exposure to object-oriented programming & relational database technologies.
• Experience in working with Micro services will be an added advantage.
• Experience in working on CI/CD Pipelines using GitLab
