Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios for Sterling OMS workflows.
  • Simulate high-load environments to assess system performance during peak traffic (e.g., sales events).
  • Execute load, stress, soak, and spike tests on Sterling OMS and integrated systems.
  • Analyse performance test results, identify bottlenecks (DB, JMS, APIs, etc.), and recommend optimizations.
  • Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure, and DevOps to tune system performance.
  • Monitor application health using tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
  • Generate performance test reports and provide clear performance KPIs and SLA compliance data.

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
  • Strong knowledge of IBM Sterling OMS architecture and API workflows.
  • Experience in monitoring and profiling tools: JVM, Garbage Collection (GC), DB metrics, thread analysis.
  • Good knowledge of SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, XML formats.
  • Familiarity with JMS queues, Kafka, IBM MQ, and async processing performance testing.
  • Understanding of OMS business processes like order creation, fulfilment, inventory, returns.
  • Proficiency with SQL for DB performance analysis.
