PeopleSoft HCM API Developer

Summary: The PeopleSoft HCM API Developer role requires a seasoned professional with over five years of experience in PeopleSoft HCM development and API integration. The position involves leading the technical design and implementation of API integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange between PeopleSoft HCM and external systems. The developer will also document technical specifications and collaborate with other developers for code reviews and testing. This role is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, build, and unit testing of API integrations.
• Develop bidirectional data exchange between PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and external systems.
• Configure mapping and setup tables for data conversion and business logic.
• Document all technical specifications and functional specifications.
• Convert existing and integrate new third-party forms/pages that may replace PeopleSoft processes.
• Collaborate with another developer for code review and testing before UAT.
• Transform PeopleSoft HCM data for third-party consumption using APIs.

Key Skills:

• 5 or more years of experience in PeopleSoft HCM development and API integration.
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft Integration Broker, REST Web services, and JSON solutions.
• Experience with building APIs between PeopleSoft HCM and third-party vendor solutions.
• Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, including core HR and App Designer/PeopleCode.
• Experience with oAuth2 authentication, encryption standards, and security methods.
• Experience with SQL, App Engine, Component Interface, and App Packages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
