PeopleSoft GL Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a PeopleSoft GL Specialist.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced PeopleSoft GL Specialist with over 10 years of expertise in managing and supporting PeopleSoft General Ledger modules, particularly in highly customized environments. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our financial systems.

User Support & Troubleshooting:
* Resolve issues related to journal entries, ledger balancing, and period close activities
* Investigate and correct errors in posted journals

Configuration & Maintenance:
* Maintain ChartFields (e.g., account codes, departments)
* Configure ledger groups, journal sources, and journal edit/post processes

Period-End Activities:
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
* Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of journals

System Testing:
* Support system upgrades, patches, and fixes
* Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Reporting:
* Generate and validate General Ledger reports (e.g., trial balances, account analysis) using PS Query
* Support data integrations with other systems

REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger (PS GL)
* Proven ability to work in highly customized PeopleSoft environments
* Strong understanding of ChartFields, journal processing, and ledger configuration
* Experience with month-end/year-end close procedures
* Proficiency in PS Query for financial reporting and analysis
* Familiarity with system testing methodologies including UAT
* Experience supporting system upgrades and patches
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex financial system issues

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
