Summary: The PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Techno-Functional Consultant will play a crucial role in the technical development and functional configuration of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions environment. The consultant will leverage their expertise to ensure the system meets the institution's evolving needs through successful implementations and support. A deep understanding of both technical and functional aspects of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is essential for this position. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver effective solutions and resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, bridging the gap between technical capabilities and functional requirements.
- Configure, test, and maintain various Campus Solutions modules (e.g., Academic Advisement, Student Records, Admissions, Financial Aid, Campus Community). Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for system issues.
- Design, develop, and modify PeopleSoft objects (pages, components, records, fields, PeopleCode, Application Engine programs, SQR, BI Publisher reports, etc.) to meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and other internal or external systems.
- Conduct detailed business analysis, gather requirements, and translate them into effective PeopleSoft solutions. Create detailed design documents.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit, system, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the quality and integrity of solutions.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation, including technical specifications, functional designs, test plans, and user guides.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including functional users, IT teams, and vendors, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical and functional issues within the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions environment.
- Assist with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions upgrades, patches, and image updates, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience as a PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Techno-Functional Consultant.
- Strong functional knowledge of key PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modules (e.g., Academic Advisement, Student Records, Admissions, Financial Aid, Campus Community).
- Proficiency in PeopleTools (PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, Integration Broker, SQR, XML Publisher/BI Publisher).
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience with PeopleSoft upgrades and maintenance packs is highly desirable.
