Summary: The PeopleSoft Administrator role involves managing PeopleSoft applications and tools in an OCI-hosted environment, focusing on lifecycle management, system performance, and automation. The position requires expertise in PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.62, along with strong SQL skills and familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer PeopleSoft applications (v9.2) and PeopleTools (v8.62) in an OCI-hosted environment.
- Support lifecycle management tasks such as PUM image application, tax updates, and PeopleTools upgrades.
- Leverage PeopleSoft Cloud Manager for provisioning, refreshing, and managing environments in OCI.
- Utilize DPKs and automation scripts to streamline environment configuration and patching.
- Maintain system performance through capacity planning and proactive tuning.
- Administer core components such as WebLogic Server, Tuxedo, and Integration Broker.
- Apply Critical Patch Updates (CPUs), manage security configurations, and monitor compliance.
- Support third-party tools and integrations (e.g., Phire, ElasticSearch, Informatica).
- Administer middleware components and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.
- Automate operational tasks using Ansible, shell scripting, PowerShell, or job schedulers (e.g., AppWorx, Tidal).
- Use tools like Change Assistant and Application Designer for code migrations and deployments.
- Manage file transfers and integration points through Samba and secure messaging.
- Document system architecture, runbooks, operational procedures, and environment standards.
- Provide off-hours support for maintenance and production issues when required.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of PeopleSoft administration experience.
- Expertise in PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.62.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with Oracle RDBMS.
