Summary: Sierra-Cedar is looking for a skilled PeopleSoft Administrator to support the City University of New York (CUNY) in a contract role. The position requires extensive experience in managing PeopleSoft environments, ensuring application stability, performance, and reliability. The administrator will work with various PeopleSoft modules and collaborate with technical teams to maintain the ERP suite. Responsibilities include administration, performance tuning, and support for upgrades and patches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support PeopleSoft environments (Campus Solutions, HCM, FSCM, IH) across development, testing, and production tiers
- Perform installations, configuration, upgrades and patching of PeopleSoft applications and PeopleTools
- Manage WebLogic, Tuxedo, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, and other application components
- Collaborate with DBAs and infrastructure teams on database and server-related tasks
- Monitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks and outages
- Manage security configurations and work with InfoSec on audit and compliance needs
- Install, configure and troubleshoot PeopleSoft Search Framework (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kibana)
- Automate administrative and operational tasks using scripting (e.g., Ansible, Shell scripts)
- Assist with migrations, code deployments, and production upgrades
- Document configuration, procedures and changes
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience administering PeopleSoft environments
- Hands-on experience with People Tools (preferably version 8.58 or higher)
- Proficiency with WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA)
- Proficiency in DPK deployment, PUM's and regulatory updates
- Experience with Oracle databases and SQL
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with client stakeholders

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of PeopleSoft applications through proactive administration, performance tuning, patching, and upgrade support.
