Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day People activities ensuring the smooth delivery of core People services across the Employee Life Cycle.
  • Manage employee records and People systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Prepare and analyse People metrics to support decision-making and track key People indicators.
  • Liaise with Payroll to ensure accurate processing.
  • Support the administration of Pay & Bonus reviews and Salary Benchmarking.
  • Support employee relations cases and advise on various HR matters.
  • Support the implementation and management of the Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) process.
  • Assist the Talent team with recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Implement training and development initiatives in collaboration with managers.

Salary- £27,500 - £34,500 (plus benefits package)

Workpattern - Remote, Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week

About the role

At ProblemShared our People Officer role ensures the smooth running of People team processes and policies; and delivers high-quality support across the business. You'll align with Compliance, Talent, Onboarding, Employee experience and Learning and Development initiatives; and contribute to HR Projects whilst championing a positive, inclusive, and high-performance and continuous improvement culture. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on improving people operations and creating a supportive, engaging and inclusive work environment with HR generalist all -round experience.

You will

  • Oversee day-to-day People activities ensuring the smooth delivery of core People services across the Employee Life Cycle; to include People policies and processes, legislation alignment, best practice and regulatory and ethical standards
  • Manage employee records and People systems, ensuring data integrity and security
  • Prepare and analyse People metrics to support decision-making and track key People indicators such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee engagement
  • Liaise with Payroll to ensure accurate processing
  • Support the administration of Pay & Bonus reviews and Salary Benchmarking
  • Employee relations
  • Support ER cases, and advise on probations, family leave, performance management, absence management, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Talent /Onboarding
  • Support the wider People team with effective implementation and management of the Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) process and Engagement/pulse surveys
  • Support the Talent team to support a seamless recruitment and onboarding experience and ensure new employees receive a welcoming and structured onboarding
  • Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention
  • Learning and Development
  • Support the implementation of training and development initiatives where relevant. Work with managers to identify development needs and opportunities for employees

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience in a People role with operational People responsibilities, ideally within a fast-paced or growing business - we are an evolving business with lots of change
  • A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Managing / mentoring / coaching team members
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance
  • Demonstrable cross-functional partnering and collaboration to build effective relationships
  • A proactive common sense approach with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
  • A genuine passion for fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace where all employees can succeed.
  • Comfortable using HR/ systems tools to streamline processes and drive improvements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, whilst confidently multi-tasking
