Payroll Tax Filing Analyst - Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Service Engineer (Payroll Tax Filing Analyst) to support payroll tax filing operations for multiple clients. This fully remote position focuses on high-volume payroll tax filing, regulatory compliance, client support, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll tax expertise, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with payroll tax filing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume payroll tax filings while ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Prepare, review, validate, and reconcile payroll tax filing data.
• Utilize APTM and other payroll tax filing systems to process filings efficiently.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide timely updates regarding filing status.
• Identify payroll tax discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct compliance research and remain current with payroll tax regulations.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations related to payroll tax filing activities.
• Support continuous process improvements to enhance filing accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation and ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• 2 3 years of payroll tax filing experience with emphasis on high-volume bulk filing.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Experience with payroll tax filing systems and bulk filing processes.
• APTM experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data validation, reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience supporting clients and participating in client interactions or presentations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.
