Summary: The Activ Payroll Consultant role is a contract position focused on leading a 12-country payroll migration from Workday to Activ Payroll for an organization in the law sector. The consultant will ensure compliance with payroll legislation and manage the entire migration process from discovery to stabilization. This fully remote role offers an opportunity to apply expertise in a high-impact transformation program while operating outside IR35. The position requires strong stakeholder engagement and experience in international payroll implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end delivery of a multi-country payroll migration from Workday to Activ Payroll
  • Ownership of payroll legislation alignment across 12 countries (tax, statutory and compliance requirements)
  • Acting as project lead / PM for the payroll migration, managing plan, risks, dependencies and timelines
  • Configuration and setup of Activ Payroll to meet country-specific requirements
  • Collaboration with HR, Finance and external vendors as required
  • Design and execution of end-to-end payroll testing (unit testing, parallel runs, UAT and go-live)
  • Data validation, reconciliation and audit readiness
  • Supporting cutover, go-live and post-implementation stabilisation
  • Producing clear documentation and knowledge handover

Key Skills:

  • Proven hands-on experience with Activ Payroll (essential)
  • Demonstrable delivery of multi-country payroll implementations or migrations
  • Strong knowledge of international payroll legislation and compliance
  • Experience migrating payroll from enterprise HCM platforms (e.g. Workday)

Activ Payroll Consultant (Contract) Fully remote | Outside IR35 | 12-country payroll migration

We are supporting an organisation within the law sector (circa 300 employees) that is undertaking a strategic transition away from Workday Payroll to Activ Payroll . The organisation is seeking an experienced Activ Payroll Consultant to lead and deliver a 12 country payroll migration , ensuring legislative compliance, robust governance, and a smooth end-to-end transition. This is a delivery-focused contract role offering full remote working and Outside IR35 status.

The Role

As the Activ Payroll Consultant, you will take ownership of the payroll migration from discovery through to go-live and stabilisation.
