Summary: The Payroll Administrator role is a fully remote position on a 12-month fixed-term contract, focused on processing payroll for approximately 5,500 employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual calculation skills and experience with payroll systems such as SAP or ResourceLink. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process three monthly payrolls for approximately 5,500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Handle new starters, leavers, tax code changes, and manual calculations of PAYE and NI deductions
  • Process all statutory absence types including SSP, SMP, SPP, and company sick pay
  • Reconcile third-party deductions and issue statutory forms such as P45, P11D, and P46Car
  • Perform exception reporting and ensure payment accuracy
  • Respond to payroll queries by email and phone in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and contribute to improving payroll processes

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience, with strong knowledge of PAYE, NI, NMW, and statutory payments
  • Confident with manual payroll calculations
  • Experience with ResourceLink or SAP is essential
  • Highly organised and capable of managing tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent numeracy, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • A collaborative team player who remains calm and solutions-focused under pressure

Payroll Administrator (12-Month Fixed Term Contract – Fully Remote)

Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Hours: Two options available

Success Factor team: 40 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm)

Resource team: 37.5 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00 pm)

Start Date: ASAP

Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with strong manual calculation skills and a solid understanding of payroll legislation? We’re looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fully remote role, with very occasional office attendance (e.g. once a month), though this is not essential.
