Role Description
The Financial Controller will report directly to the CEO and requires effective collaboration, adherence to deadlines, and delivery of accurate, high-quality work.
Main duties and accountabilities include:
- Setting annual budgets with the CEO
- Weekly expenditure review
- Cashflow management
- Regular monthly reports
- Checking two business accounts
- Entering all financial information into Sage
- Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
- Managing bank reconciliations
- Management of VAT returns
- One-off requests, for example, from Companies House
- Managing HMRC payment plans.
Experience:
- Confident communicator who can translate financial data to a CEO and work with their EA
- Can-do, positive attitude to problem solving
- Professional point with others who can answer questions
- Fully qualified, (recently qualified welcome)
- Experience of Sage
- Excellent IT skills
- Great attention to detail, particularly when presenting to the CEO
