Part-time SAP S/4HANA Strategy & Technology Consultant (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for a freelance part time SAP S/4HANA Strategy & Technology Consultant (m/f/d) for our client in the energy sector.

Location: remote

We are looking for an experienced SAP Strategy & Technology Consultant to support the strategic assessment of SAP's future landscape, with a focus on S/4HANA, RISE, SAP BTP, AI, and SAP Private Cloud.

Tasks:

• Analyze SAP's strategic positioning and compare SAP marketing statements with real-world requirements and capabilities.
• Assess how roles and responsibilities will change with the transition to S/4HANA/RISE, including which activities remain with IT and which shift to business/end users.
• Evaluate future technologies and development approaches beyond traditional ABAP, particularly SAP BTP, AI Platform, and CAP development.
• Assess the impact of SAP Private Cloud hosting on future roles, services, and capabilities.
• Prepare concise decision papers, recommendations, and management presentations based on the analysis.
• Provide insights to support strategic decisions regarding service development, internal capacity planning, and employee training.

Must-have:

• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP.
• Good understanding of SAP BTP, CAP, and modern SAP development approaches.
• Knowledge of SAP Private Cloud and its impact on IT operating models.
• Experience in SAP strategy, transformation, or IT consulting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to distinguish between SAP's strategic vision and practical implementation requirements.
• Ability to translate complex findings into clear management-level recommendations and decision documents.
• Fluent English skills; German is an advantage.
