Parametric Modeler – FreeCAD | Remote

Summary: The Parametric Modeler role focuses on leading parametric modeling projects using FreeCAD, from initial conception to production-ready deliverables. The position requires expertise in BIM and IFC for effective coordination and documentation of building models. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in FreeCAD and a strong portfolio of completed projects, alongside experience in managing 3D CAD workflows. This is a remote contract position with flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full parametric modeling projects in FreeCAD from conception through production-ready deliverables.
• Utilize BIM and IFC to coordinate and document building models, including walls, slabs, and structures.
• Import, export, and validate IFC data to ensure seamless interoperability with other CAD/BIM platforms.
• Develop and manage constrained sketches, parametric model trees, and building components throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare detailed documentation sets, including technical drawings and model exports in formats such as STEP, STL, DXF, and IFC.
• Articulate modeling strategies, BIM structuring choices, and interoperability considerations clearly in both written documentation and verbal recordings.
