Summary: As a Paralegal, you will coordinate and administer legal initiatives, support customer litigation, and perform legal research to update employee guidelines. The role requires managing large workloads, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. You will also engage with interdepartmental stakeholders and assist in various legal projects. This position is remote and requires a minimum of three years of relevant legal experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project managing active lawsuits and arbitrations, including tracking deadlines and interfacing with outside counsel and opposing counsel
  • Engaging necessary interdepartmental stakeholders to obtain support, information, and documentation as needed to analyze litigation and litigation demands
  • Compiling, analyzing, and serving as resource for case facts
  • Reviewing and preparing responses to litigation demands and correspondence from opposing counsel
  • Compiling and reviewing discovery for litigation
  • Maintaining and overseeing case files
  • Assisting in the preparation for and attendance at trial
  • Performing legal research and assist in drafting employee guidelines and procedures
  • Assisting General Counsel and supporting attorneys in additional projects as needed
  • Providing on-going and back-up support to paralegal staff

Key Skills:

  • Ideal to have experience in litigation
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be proficient with MS Office applications and be able to learn new systems or applications
  • Experience in consumer banking
  • Familiarity with Westlaw

Job Description
As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering ongoing legal initiatives and projects, including supporting of customer litigation. You will also perform legal research necessary to create and periodically update employee guidelines (e.g., policies and procedures) to reflect current legal and regulatory obligations.
