Summary: The IAM PAM Program Manager Consultant will support initiatives to enhance logging and monitoring of access changes across high-risk applications within a leading consumer financial services organization. This role focuses on Highly Privileged Access Logging and Monitoring, leveraging tools like Splunk and Cortex, and involves onboarding applications into the monitoring framework. The consultant will also contribute to secret key management initiatives, ensuring compliance with key rotation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate discovery sessions with application owners
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and onboarding documentation
  • Identify and escalate risks for applications unable to onboard
  • Coordinate troubleshooting during onboarding preparation
  • Provide regular status updates and escalate issues as needed
  • Analyze log data and map events to Splunk data models
  • Develop Splunk technology add-ons (parsing, tagging, event typing)
  • Perform QA/testing of Splunk configurations and ensure compliance with standards
  • Support release of applications to production Splunk teams
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain detailed test documentation

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of overall experience, including at least 1 year in IAM, Security Engineering, or related InfoSec domains (OR 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with IAM technologies
  • Strong expertise in Splunk Cloud and Splunk Processing Language (SPL)
  • Experience working in cloud (PaaS) environments
  • Solid understanding of IAM fundamentals: Authentication, Authorization, RBAC, etc.
  • Experience working in Agile environments using Jira and Jira Align
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong prioritization and time management abilities

Organizational Overview
This role reports to the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Programs organization within the Information Security function.

Role Summary
The IAM Security Engineer will support key initiatives focused on enhancing logging and monitoring of access changes across high-risk applications. This includes leveraging tools such as Splunk and Cortex.
The role will primarily focus on Highly Privileged Access (HPA) Logging and Monitoring, working closely with technology teams to onboard applications into the monitoring framework. Responsibilities include evaluating application logging capabilities, onboarding to Splunk, and ensuring proper integration.
Additionally, the role will contribute to initiatives around secret key management, including testing systems that identify and track secret key rotation compliance.

Scope of Services
The contractor will support:

  • HPA Logging and Monitoring (Discovery & Onboarding phases)
  • Testing and validation of the secrets rotation tool
