Summary: The role of OT Applications Integration Engineer (SCADA) involves enhancing the security of Operational Technology environments through application migration and Kerberos rollout. This hands-on technical position is critical for a major SCADA uplift programme within a leading Utilities organization. The engineer will work on integrating and maintaining applications while ensuring compliance with NIS CAF standards. The position requires a strong technical background in both Linux and Windows server environments, particularly in relation to SCADA systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate, deploy, and maintain multitier applications within a distributed OT environment.
- Execute the Kerberos rollout for SCADA services to enhance encryption and security.
- Onboard legacy applications and systems into Active Directory.
- Manage Linux estate patching, application upgrades, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with Technical Architects to support the creation of robust technical designs.
- Participate in Change Approval Boards and lead FAT/UAT test plans.
Key Skills:
- Proven background in integrating and maintaining applications in virtualised or hyperconverged infrastructures.
- Deep technical knowledge of Active Directory, Kerberos, and authentication protocols.
- Significant experience across both Linux and Windows server environments.
- Previous exposure to SCADA or OT applications is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently in a complex technical landscape.

I am currently partnering with a leading organisation in the Utilities sector to recruit a Technical Analyst specialising in OT Applications Engineering. This organisation operates at a national scale, managing critical infrastructure where security and resilience are paramount. This is a hands-on technical role focused on a major SCADA uplift programme. You will be responsible for improving the security posture of the Operational Technology environment through application migration, Kerberos rollout, and enhanced privileged access management. The project is critical for addressing specific security findings and achieving compliance with NIS CAF standards.
Key Responsibilities
