Oracle WMS Cloud Functional Consultant

Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Oracle WMS Cloud (Logistics Cloud / OWMS) Functional Consultant with 10+ years of hands-on supply chain implementation and support experience. In this role, you will lead the functional design, configuration, and deployment of Oracle Cloud Warehouse Management solutions, driving modern warehouse automation and supply chain excellence for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Implementation: Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration, and rollout of Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud (OWMS) solutions.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, warehouse operations teams, and IT leadership to analyze business processes and map them to Oracle WMS Cloud capabilities.
• Configuration & Testing: Configure core WMS Cloud functionalities including item setup, inventory management, inbound receiving, wave planning, task management, pick/pack/ship, and cycle counting. Design and execute comprehensive test scripts and UAT.
• Integration Expertise: Oversee integration points between Oracle WMS Cloud and external enterprise systems, such as ERP (Oracle ERP Cloud/EBS), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), automation controls, and RF/barcode scanning hardware.
• Documentation & Training: Create functional design documents, business process flows, configuration workbooks, and end-user training materials. Provide hypercare and post-go-live optimization support.
• Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through modern cloud best practices in warehouse automation, labor management, and supply chain optimization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 10+ years of cumulative IT/supply chain experience, with a strong, dedicated focus on Oracle Cloud Logistics / WMS Cloud.
• Project History: Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple full-lifecycle Oracle WMS Cloud implementations from blueprint to go-live.
• Functional Mastery: In-depth knowledge of modern warehouse operations, configuration of rules/strategies in Oracle WMS Cloud, and inventory control.
• Technical Familiarity: Understanding of cloud integration architectures (REST APIs, file-based data imports/exports) and experience working with RF scanners, mobile devices, and label-printing configurations.
• Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.

Work Arrangement & Travel

• Primary Location: Remote.
• Travel Requirements: Periodic travel (as needed) to client sites in St. Louis, MO or Phoenix, AZ for key workshops, design sessions, or go-live milestones.
