Seeking an experienced Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter (C2M) Test Analyst to support a large municipal gas utility's C2M implementation. This resource will join an established testing team heading into the program's most critical phase. The role focuses mainly on test execution, and also calls for the scripting skills to revise existing test scripts and build new ones as gaps come up.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional, integration (SIT), regression, and UAT-support test cycles against the C2M solution according to the program test plan
- Review existing test scripts for accuracy and completeness. Update them to reflect configuration changes, defect fixes, and evolving business requirements
- Develop a limited number of new test scripts, including test steps, test data needs, and expected results, for scenarios not covered by the current test suite
- Validate end-to-end meter-to-cash business processes, including customer and account setup, service start/stop/transfer, meter reads, billing and rate calculations, payments, collections, and adjustments
- Log, track, and retest defects. Clearly document reproduction steps and evidence, and work with functional and technical teams through resolution
- Validate converted data and batch job outputs during mock conversions and cutover rehearsals as needed
- Report test execution progress, pass/fail status, and blockers to the test lead
- Support go-live readiness and final regression cycles leading into production cutover
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software testing experience, including at least 2–3 years testing Oracle Utilities C2M, CC&B, or related OUAF-based applications
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining manual test scripts and test cases, not only executing them
- Working knowledge of utility meter-to-cash processes (billing, rates, meter reads, payments, collections)
- Experience with defect and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with strong attention to detail and clear written communication
- Availability to start immediately and stay on through Q2 2027 go-live
Preferred Qualifications
- C2M implementation experience at a gas or multi-service utility
- Familiarity with C2M modules and components such as Customer Management, Device Management, Service Order Management, and Billing
- Experience validating data conversion and batch processing, including exposure to Automic/UC4 scheduling
- Basic SQL skills for backend data validation
- Prior experience supporting UAT alongside business users at a regulated utility
