Summary: The Oracle HCM Technical & Reporting Specialist is tasked with developing, maintaining, and optimizing reports and integrations within the Oracle HCM Cloud ecosystem. This role requires a blend of reporting expertise and technical development skills to enhance HR operations and support business decision-making. The specialist will ensure system functionality aligns with organizational needs while maintaining data integrity and compliance. Collaboration with HR and IT teams is essential to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards using OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts, and other Oracle reporting tools.
- Transform HR data into actionable insights by creating ad-hoc queries, scheduled reports, and analytic dashboards that support HR, Payroll, and leadership decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with security and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for reporting processes, data models, and calculation logic.
- Build and enhance Oracle HCM Cloud customizations, including Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, and configuration updates to support business processes.
- Develop and troubleshoot integrations between HCM and downstream systems (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, Finance), leveraging tools such as HDL, REST APIs, and integration platforms.
- Support technical upgrades, regression testing, and deployment of new HCM Cloud features.
- Collaborate with IT and HRIS teams to resolve technical issues, optimize performance, and implement new system capabilities.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Recommend improvements based on Oracle Cloud updates, industry best practices, and evolving business needs.
- Provide guidance to HR teams on system functionality, data usage, and custom solutions.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle HCM Cloud reporting (OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts).
- Experience with Oracle HCM technical components such as Fast Formulas, HDL, HCM REST/SOAP APIs, and system configurations.
- Strong understanding of HCM data structures, HR business processes, and integration points across modules (Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Benefits, etc.).
- Proficiency in SQL for query writing and data manipulation.
- Experience in data validation, data mapping, and ensuring system/report accuracy.
- Familiarity with HR analytics, KPIs, and workforce metrics.
