Key Responsibilities
- Functional Support & Business Engagement
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and interpret requirements through a business lens, ensuring clarity before passing to technical teams.
- Provide functional expertise across core Oracle Fusion modules:
- Inventory Management
- Procurement
- Order Management (OM)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Help business users articulate their data needs clearly and bridge the gap between what the business asks for and what the data can deliver.
- Act as a go-to functional resource for day-to-day queries from both business and technical teams.
- Data Extraction & Technical Collaboration
- Support the technical team in navigating Oracle Fusion data structures across SCM and Finance modules, including key tables, views, and data entities such as:
- Inventory transactions, on-hand balances, item master
- Purchase Orders, Receipts, Supplier data
- Sales Orders, Order Lines, Fulfilment data
- AP Invoices, Payments, Supplier Invoices
- Guide the technical team on the most appropriate Oracle Fusion data extraction methods, including:
- OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence)
- BIP (Business Intelligence Publisher)
- REST APIs
- FTP-based extracts
- Validate extracted data against Oracle Fusion source to ensure accuracy and completeness before loading into the staging layer.
- Support and review the loading of data into the staging layer, ensuring the data is correctly mapped and traceable back to the source.
- Data Consumption & Modelling Guidance
- Help analytics and data teams understand the functional meaning of extracted data entities and how they relate to each other across SCM and Finance modules.
- Provide functional context to support data modelling decisions, such as:
- How Inventory transactions relate to financial postings
- How Purchase Orders link to Receipts and AP Invoices (Procure-to-Pay flow)
- How Sales Orders connect to Fulfilment and Revenue (Order-to-Cash flow)
- Advise on how data can be consumed without going into detailed technical design.
- Support teams in understanding key identifiers, hierarchies, and reference data (e.g., Item Categories, Inventory Organizations, Business Units, Cost Centers).
- Cross-Team Enablement
- Be available to answer functional questions from BI, analytics, and data teams regarding Oracle Fusion SCM and Finance data.
- Conduct informal knowledge-sharing to improve team understanding of module-specific data and business processes.
- Support data validation exercises by providing functional context on expected data behaviour and business rules.

- Experience working across multiple teams including technical, analytics, and business
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) end-to-end processes
- Familiarity with data warehousing or staging layer concepts
- Experience with reporting tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Power BI, or Tableau
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion data model and standard reporting subject areas
