Summary: The Oracle PL/SQL Developer with Banner Database structure role requires an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Oracle Database technology and the Banner Database architecture. The position involves writing PL/SQL, executing queries, and providing integration support with third-party systems. The developer will also be responsible for managing project plans and communicating effectively with technical and departmental personnel. This is a remote position with a focus on custom development services and data storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deep knowledge of Oracle Database technology and the Banner Database structure and Architecture.
- Ability to write PL/SQL and execute queries against the Banner tables and update tables utilizing Banner packages.
- Strong understanding of Banner packages and rules.
- Ability to communicate with technical staff and departmental personnel on requirements definition, and the ability to translate requirement specifications into executable code.
- Ability to provide task estimates and the ability to manage and adhere to a project plan.
- Understanding Banner integration.
- Deep understanding of deployment and testing in a test environment and working with Operations on Production deployments.
- Ability to identify and document issues and follow up on resolution options.
- Integration support with third-party systems, including the Banner ERP application.
- Custom Development Services including but not limited to web application development in current industry leading languages.
- Passion for data storytelling and driving business impact.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle Database technology.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and experience with Banner Database structure.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and departmental personnel.
- Project management skills for task estimation and adherence to project plans.
- Understanding of Banner integration and deployment processes.
- Experience with third-party system integration.
