Oracle Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS) Database Administrator (DBA)

Summary: The Oracle Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS) Database Administrator (DBA) role is a contract position focused on managing and administering Oracle Exadata environments in a remote capacity. The position requires extensive experience in Oracle database administration, particularly with Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The DBA will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of the databases. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Oracle Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS) environments.
• Manage Oracle RAC and ASM configurations.
• Perform database patching and upgrades.
• Implement and maintain Data Guard for disaster recovery.
• Conduct RMAN backup and recovery operations.
• Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.
• Provide troubleshooting and support for database issues.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize database performance.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
• 4+ years of Oracle Exadata administration.
• 3+ years working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Strong experience with Oracle Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS).
• Experience administering Oracle RAC and ASM.
• Strong Data Guard administration experience.
• Hands-on RMAN backup and recovery experience.
• Experience performing Oracle database patching and upgrades.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
