Role Overview
The Oracle EBS R12 End-to-End Solution Lead acts as the primary architectural and delivery authority for cross-functional Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 implementations.
This role bridges enterprise business strategy and technical execution, taking accountability for end-to-end process integrity (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report). The Solution Lead directs module leads, validates complex custom extensions (RICEFW), governs data migrations, and ensures seamless integrations between Oracle EBS, edge applications, and cloud platforms.
1. Architecture & End-to-End Solution Design
- Own the overarching functional and technical design across core enterprise flows (O2C, P2P, R2R).
- Enforce Global Solventum capabilities (standard out-of-the-box and already internally designed Oracle EBS functionality) wherever feasible, rigorously evaluating custom build requests to prevent technical debt.
- Design and govern cross-module integrations (e.g., OM, AR, PO, AP, Inventory, Costing) and interfaces to external systems (CRM, banks, tax engines, 3PLs).
2. Delivery Leadership & Governance
- Lead cross-functional functional consultants, technical developers, and business process owners through the full software development lifecycle.
- Direct Conference Room Pilots (CRP1, CRP2), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Day-in-the-Life simulations.
- Oversee RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms, Workflows) specification reviews, code quality checks, and performance optimization.
- Lead cutover strategy, dress rehearsals, go-live execution, and post-implementation hypercare stabilization.
3. Stakeholder Alignment & Business Advisory
- Facilitate business requirement workshops to drive consensus across competing priorities.
- Translate multi-entity operational requirements into multi-org structure setups (Business Groups, Legal Entities, Operating Units, Inventory Orgs) and Chart of Accounts (COA) mapping.
- Manage change impact assessments, support risk mitigations, and advise steering committees on architectural trade-offs.
Required Experience
- 10–15+ years of progressive Oracle EBS experience, with at least 3–5 full lifecycle end-to-end R12 implementations/upgrades (R12.1.x or R12.2.x).
- Demonstrated experience acting as the Lead Solution Architect or Cross-Functional Functional Lead for multi-country, multi-currency implementations.
- Deep functional expertise in at least two core tracks and strong working literacy in the third:
- Financials: GL, AP, AR, FA, CE, SLA
- Supply Chain / Operations: OM, Advanced Pricing, Inventory, PO, iProcurement, Shipping.
- Manufacturing / Projects: WIP, BOM, ASCP, Costing, Project Accounting.
- Strong understanding of Oracle EBS underlying table structures, APIs, open interfaces, and Subledger Accounting (SLA) mechanics
Key Competencies
- Systemic Thinking - Evaluates how a change in upstream inventory or order processing ripples through downstream Subledger Accounting and general ledger reconciliations.
- Consultative Influence - Successfully steers stakeholders away from excessive customization toward standard Oracle capabilities and process standardization.
- Technical-Business Translation - Explains complex database table constraints and API interface failures to finance directors, while translating complex accounting rules into technical specs for developers.
- Risk & Cutover Management - Anticipates data migration bottlenecks and designs fallback strategies for cutover and master data migration (Customer, Supplier, Item, Open AR/AP, Balances).
