Summary: The Oracle EBS DBA Technical Consultant role involves comprehensive administration of Oracle Database 19c and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments. The position requires expertise in database performance tuning, security compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The consultant will also be responsible for documentation, troubleshooting, and supporting audit efforts while working in a remote capacity. A strong background in Unix and Oracle technologies is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Oracle Database 19c administration, including installation, configuration, backup/recovery, and maintenance.
- Apply Oracle database security patches and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Conduct database performance tuning, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Execute database upgrades and troubleshoot complex database-related issues.
- Manage Oracle E-Business Suite (12.2.9) environments, including patching and upgrading cycles.
- Support EBS application cloning, concurrent manager administration, and routine maintenance.
- Work in an AIX Unix environment, including scripting and automation of tasks.
- Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for proactive monitoring and diagnostics.
- Document procedures and create architecture diagrams; communicate effectively with IT leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Excel.
- Support audit and compliance efforts as needed.
- Be flexible and prepared to work after-hours or weekends for planned maintenance or emergency support.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA with a focus on Oracle EBS.
- Strong proficiency with Oracle Database 19c in production environments.
- Extensive experience in Oracle EBS 12.2.9, including patching and upgrades.
- Solid background in Unix (AIX) system administration and scripting.
- Experience with Oracle OEM for monitoring and performance management.
- Hands-on experience with ETL (e.g., Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator, PL/SQL-based ETL).
