Summary: The Oracle EBS Consultant role involves supporting a UK-based insurance company in re-implementing their Oracle EBS system from version 12.1.3 to 12.2.14 on Azure cloud. The consultant will work closely with the Lead Finance consultant and the customer finance team to address test issues and facilitate financial data migration. The position is remote with a contract lasting until the end of the year, with potential for permanent placement. The start date is as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the re-implementation of Oracle EBS version 12.2.14 on Azure cloud.
  • Work with the Lead Finance consultant and customer finance team to resolve test issues.
  • Assist in financial data migration and cutover processes.
  • Provide guidance on creating Financial Statement Generators (FSGs).
  • Interact directly with the customer finance team to address questions and issues.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience as an Oracle EBS v12 financials functional consultant, particularly in General Ledger (GL).
  • Knowledge of creating Financial Statement Generators (FSGs).
  • Experience with financial data migration and cutover.
  • Ideally, experience with Primary and Secondary Ledger set-up in Oracle GL.
  • Desirable experience in the Insurance or Financial Services sector.
  • Accounts Payable experience is also desirable.

Background
The customer is a UK based insurance company for which our client currently hosts and provides application support for their Oracle EBS system version 12.1.3. EBS scope is only General Ledger and Accounts Payable with a few interfaces. Our client is undertaking a project to re-implement EBS at version 12.2.14 on Azure cloud. This involves a change to the Chart of Accounts so it is a fresh install of EBS with migration of data from the existing system. The design of the new chart of accounts and ledger structures is complete and the remainder of the system remains much the same as the current system. The project is currently configuring the new system to start the first customer test cycle and is likely to complete in November 2025 after testing, UAT and cutover. However we need an additional resource to work to the Lead Finance consultant.


Requirement

  • Oracle EBS v12 financials functional consultant with strong experience of General Ledger (GL).
  • Good knowledge of creating Financial Statement Generators (FSGs), for example for Trial Balance, and showing customer team how to create their own FSGs
  • Experience of financial data migration and cutover, working with technical resources.
  • Ideally experience of Primary and Secondary Ledger set-up in Oracle GL
  • Insurance or Financial Services experience desirable.
  • Would interact directly with customer finance team on resolution of test issues and responding to questions.
  • Accounts Payable experience also desirable
