Summary: The Oracle DBA and Golden Gate Replication Specialist role is a contract position requiring a senior professional with over 8 years of experience, particularly in Oracle Golden Gate. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement data integration solutions (Oracle Golden Gate and Qlik (Attunity))
- Provide operational support to customer events such as releases and maintenance as required
- Support significant projects such as upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery exercises
- Create, maintain, and improve various forms of script or code to enable monitoring and automation
- Log, schedule and track all changes using change management system tools
- Respond to trouble states and incidents, applying necessary repairs or restoration of service
- Protecting our customers and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions
Key Skills:
- Prior experience with Oracle Golden Gate
- Basic understanding of database platforms such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
- Basic understanding of any scripting language such as Unix shell scripts or Perl
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Written and oral communication skills that can interface with people of a technical and non-technical background
- Teamwork, decision-making, documentation and analytical skills
- Customer service experience
- Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
