Summary: The OPS/MVS System Automation Engineer role involves administering and supporting the Mainframe System Automation OPS/MVS Broadcom product in a remote capacity. The engineer will focus on delivering automation solutions that enhance organizational efficiency while adhering to global standards. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective solutions. The contract duration is set for 6 months with a daily rate of £400, umbrella only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support the Mainframe System Automation OPS/MVS Broadcom product.
• Deliver automation at the quality and pace warranted by the business.
• Ensuring delivery to the customer while adhering to established global standards and best practice.
• Actively participate in achieving organisational efficiency objectives and undertake analysis on day-to-day work to drive automation on deliveries thereby minimising repetitive and standardised tasks/processes.
• Work closely with the stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solution as agreed.

Key Skills:

• Experience in Mainframe System Automation area.
• Work experience with OPS/MVS product.
• Ability to code / script using OPS/REXX programming language.
• Understanding of GDPS concept in production is preferred.
• Experience of providing production support and troubleshooting for IBMz Mainframe systems.
• Understanding of the Incident, Problem, Change Management processes.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
