OpenSCAD CAD Engineer – Parametric Design | Remote

Summary: The OpenSCAD Expert role involves leading projects from requirements gathering to final model export, focusing on parametric design and 3D modeling. The position requires strong experience with OpenSCAD and CAD fundamentals, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end OpenSCAD projects from requirements gathering to final model export.
• Develop and structure parametric scripts with reusable modules for efficient design workflows.
• Apply CSG techniques to create complex 3D models and perform 2D-to-3D transformations.
• Iterate on models with logical, script-driven decision-making and engineering reasoning.
• Prepare and export files in standard formats ensuring manufacturing compatibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate design processes.
• Document workflows, design rationale, and technical decisions for AI-driven applications.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience with OpenSCAD and completion of full design projects.
• Solid knowledge of CAD fundamentals and Constructive Solid Geometry concepts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software tools.
