Summary: The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst role involves designing and executing test cases, performing various types of testing, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a high-quality user experience. The position requires a strong background in QA methodologies and tools, as well as experience in Agile environments. The role is remote and focuses on enhancing testing efficiency through automation and collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Perform functional and non-functional testing including:
- Smoke Testing
- Regression Testing
- Accessibility Testing
- Performance/Load Testing
- API & Integration Testing
- Conduct accessibility testing using tools such as NVDA, Axe, or JAWS.
- Utilize automated testing tools to improve testing coverage and efficiency.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects using Jira.
- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate on issue resolution.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for user stories and work items.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to validate requirements and improve user experience.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Provide demonstrations and walkthroughs to stakeholders when required.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute QA best practices.
- Work with QA Automation and DevOps teams to improve automation and testing efficiency.
- Ensure consistent, accessible, and intuitive user experience standards.
- Participate actively in remote collaboration and on-camera meetings.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of IT experience in operations, programming, systems, or software development.
- 3+ years of hands-on QA testing experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
