Summary: The role of Online SEND Tutor involves providing online support in core subjects (Maths, English, or Science) to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the UK. The position requires a passion for transforming the lives of vulnerable learners through flexible and trauma-informed teaching methods. Tutors will work remotely, offering tailored support to students referred by local authorities and schools. The role is self-employed, allowing for flexible hours and competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide online/remote or hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs.
- Support pupils from KS1 - KS5 referred by local authorities and schools through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
- Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
- Contribute to the mission to raise the standard of education for young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD.
Key Skills:
- 2+ years online teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
- Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
- Experience in planning and reporting lessons.
- Ability to provide regular feedback on student progress.

Role Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years online teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
- Subjects: English, Maths, and/or Science
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
- Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate if needed) and 2+ professional references
- Location: UK-based with the right to work in the UK
- Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
