Summary: The role of OneStream & Apptio SME Data Engineering Business Manager involves overseeing the full OneStream FP&A stack and managing Apptio TBM processes for a leading U.S. private-equity fund. This position requires expertise in financial planning and analysis, technology budget planning, and vendor contract governance, all while working remotely during EST core hours. The successful candidate will drive financial transparency and value creation through advanced financial modeling and continuous process improvement. A strong background in enterprise FP&A/TBM roles supporting Engineering or IT is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full OneStream FP&A stack: design, build, and operate driver-based budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analytics.
- Run monthly project status / budget reporting: automate actual-vs-plan dashboards and deliver real-time portfolio KPIs.
- Lead 2026 technology budget planning: translate targets into bottom-up cost-center plans and perform scenario modeling.
- Administer Apptio TBM and chargeback: manage cost pools, service catalogs, and configure Datalink ingestion and BI dashboards.
- Vendor contract and cost governance: track agreements, negotiate renewals, and enforce SLA and penalty clauses.
- Continuous process improvement: streamline data pipelines and evangelize TBM/FP&A best practices.

Run monthly project status / budget reporting: automate actual-vs-plan dashboards, calculate CPI/SPI, and deliver real-time portfolio KPIs to Engineering and Finance leadership.
Lead 2026 technology budget planning: translate Run-the-Firm vs. Build-the-Firm targets into bottom-up cost-center plans, perform scenario modeling, top-down target setting, and version freezes.
Administer Apptio TBM and chargeback: manage ATUM cost pools, IT towers, service catalogs, and multi-stage allocations; configure Datalink ingestion, unit-rate cards, showback/chargeback invoices, and Apptio BI dashboards to recover 100 % of infrastructure spend from portfolio companies.
Vendor contract and cost governance: track SaaS/IaaS, hardware, and consulting agreements; negotiate renewals; align payment schedules with OneStream forecasts; enforce SLA and penalty clauses.
Continuous process improvement: streamline data pipelines, tighten data-quality rules, and evangelize TBM/FP&A best practices across Engineering.
