Summary: The Observability Project Manager will oversee the migration of various Lines of Businesses (LoB) to a unified observability stack, ensuring clear outcomes and documentation throughout the process. This role involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including GCO and BTP, to establish a technical landscape and provide management recommendations. The position is remote and is expected to last for six months, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Execute migration frontrunner with Lines of Businesses (LoB) from one or more of the 3rd party observability tools in scope of the program to One Observability target stack
- Define clear outcomes eg Supported feature list, gap list, criticality, impact
- Setup frontrunner technical landscape and process scenario for Ops teams, SREs and others to use as proof point of what feature or gaps on the Observability target stack with the support from GCO and BTP (as One Observability target stack component providers)
- Document the front runner outcome come with reference to the goals established and make management recommendations on way forward in consultation with program leads, architects and LoBs
- The Observability project manager assigned to the program will work LoBs, GCO and BTP providing the core components of the observability stack to set up the front runner execution with the application landscape to route and consume Otel data produced by the LoB
Key Skills:
- Experience in project management, particularly in observability tools and migration processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with various stakeholders
- Ability to define and document technical landscapes and outcomes
- Understanding of Ops teams and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
- Familiarity with observability stacks and data routing
