Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience with vendor platforms including Juniper, Cisco, Accedian, Cyan (Ciena), and Nokia.
  • Minimum 4 5 years of telecommunications experience in Ethernet and IP platforms.
  • Conduct in-depth troubleshooting of all network-related issues.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Ethernet and IP equipment and associated protocols such as BGP, MPLS, Ethernet Switching, Spanning Tree, and others.
  • Must have experience with SONET, SDH, Telco, FTT, and DWDM networks.
  • Perform RFC 2544 tests and troubleshoot fiber issues using OTDR tests with field support.
  • Experience in a NOC environment is a plus.
  • Preferred professional certifications: Cisco, Juniper, Nokia.
  • Document work efforts and troubleshooting status in the trouble ticketing system.
  • Perform maintenance and repair activities independently with minimal supervision.
